The latest round of the virtual mini rally, 'Talsi 2026', was held on July 14, bringing together participants across three categories: all-wheel drive (4WD), front-wheel drive (FWD), and rear-wheel drive (RWD).

The stages offered a variety of challenges, from fast sections with large jumps to technical city stages that proved tough for many drivers. During the event, several usual favorites encountered setbacks, including driver errors and technical issues, making the competition for points particularly intense.

In the 4WD class, Roberts Binovskis took the top spot driving a Toyota Celica 2000GT, followed by Kristers Svilo (Mitsubishi Lancer Evo II) and Dinārs Dadzītis (Subaru Impreza GC8 555). In FWD, Matīss Pucens won in a Renault Clio III R3, ahead of Roberts Branickis and Mārtiņš Bembers, both in the same model. The RWD category was won by Dāvis Bite in a BMW M3 E30, with Renārs Vagulis and Ronalds Leja (BMW M3 E36) finishing second and third.

According to organizers, the rear-wheel drive class once again delighted spectators with impressive slides and drifts. Results across all classes were very tight, and even a single mistake could significantly impact the overall standings.

The next mini rally stage, 'Gulbis', will take place from July 30 to August 4, 2026. More information is available at www.rbr.lv.
