Nottingham Forest have entered advanced negotiations with Crystal Palace over the signing of Colombia international defender Daniel Munoz, in a deal that could be worth as much as £25m.

Munoz has become a late-window target for Forest manager Oliver Glasner, who previously worked with the full-back during his spell in charge at Palace.

Discussions between the two clubs have been running for several days and gathered pace following Palace's 4-1 loss to Manchester City on Friday. With Tuesday's transfer deadline approaching, the clubs are reported to be close to finalising terms.

Player's background

Munoz joined Palace from Belgian club Genk in 2024 and has since become a key contributor for the Eagles, playing a significant role in the club's historic FA Cup and Europa Conference League successes under Glasner.

The 30-year-old still has just under two years remaining on his current contract, but Palace are willing to let him leave this summer.

Earlier this summer, Palace brought in Anan Khalaili from Belgian side Royale Union Saint-Gilloise, with the Israel international expected to fill the void left by Munoz in Pierre Sage's side.
