Nova Poshta shifts to distributed warehouse model after Russian strikes
Ukraine's largest private delivery company, Nova Poshta, is moving to a decentralised fulfilment model after a Russian strike destroyed one of its most advanced logistics centres. Branches nationwide will now double as local warehouses.

Nova Poshta, Ukraine's largest private delivery company, has announced a shift to a decentralised fulfilment model, according to CEO Yevhen Tafiichuk.
Under the new approach, the company's cargo and postal branches across Ukraine will function as local warehouses. Clients' stock will be spread across multiple locations instead of concentrated in one large centre, reducing risk and helping businesses keep operating even if further attacks occur.
Destroyed facility
The move follows a Russian strike on the night of 27-28 August that destroyed a Nova Poshta fulfilment and sorting centre in Sviatopetrivske, Kyiv Oblast, and damaged a nearby production facility. Tafiichuk said the company's infrastructure had been targeted before, but this time it lost its most advanced, robotised fulfilment centre, representing years of investment and engineering work.
Fulfilment services cover the full range of logistics operations a business outsources to a third party, from receiving goods to final delivery to customers.
Support for affected partners
The strike also destroyed stock belonging to publishers and bookstores. Tafiichuk said Nova Poshta is in contact with every affected publisher and store to assess their needs and work out individual support measures to help them recover losses, reprint destroyed editions and resume operations. The company said it would compensate for the damage caused by the attack.
