NVIDIA has announced the introduction of its GeForce Trading Cards, a series of 14 different designs that the company says capture "great moments" in GeForce PC gaming history. The announcement comes at a time when the company is facing backlash from gamers due to its increased focus on AI and data center products, which has caused memory shortages and delays in consumer GPU releases. According to reports, NVIDIA is not expected to launch its next generation of gaming graphics cards until 2027.

The trading cards are not being sold; instead, they are promotional giveaways. NVIDIA plans to distribute them through its "Summer of RTX" giveaways on GeForce social media channels and at select gaming events such as Bilibili World 2026, QuakeCon 2026, and gamescom 2026. At in-person events, attendees can visit NVIDIA booths to learn about the cards. The company describes the cards as more of a promotional tool than a collectible for purchase.

This is the first series of what NVIDIA indicates will be more trading cards in the future. Series 1 includes designs featuring the NV1, NVIDIA's first mainstream multimedia processor, as well as the GeForce 256, which is recognized as the world's first GPU.
