Aubrey Griffin, a forward for the Riga women's basketball club TTT, topped the player rankings for the second round of EuroCup Women, Europe's club-level women's basketball competition. In her debut in the tournament on 22 October, she helped TTT win on the road against Romanian side Universitatea Cluj.

Griffin scored 22 points, grabbed eight rebounds and made nine assists, coming close to a triple-double (double figures in three statistical categories). Her efficiency rating of 40 was the highest of the round. Sarah Cisse of Lattes Montpellier and Taina Mair of Gorzow shared second place with 34, ahead of Lattes Montpellier star Stella Johnson, who had 31.

From Ossining to Europe

Griffin was born in Ossining, a small town on the Hudson River about half an hour's drive from New York City. She led her local high school team to the New York state championship and won the Miss New York Basketball title in 2019. On 27 September 2018, about a month and a half before her 17th birthday, she announced she would join UConn, then an 11-time NCAA champion in women's college basketball. She wore number 44 there.

Injuries held her back, costing her a season and a half in total. Back pain kept her out of the 2021–22 season, and on 3 January 2024 she tore the anterior cruciate ligament in her left knee, returning to the court only 12 months later. Griffin became the first UConn player to represent the team for six seasons. In her fourth Final Four appearance (2021, 2022, 2024, 2025) she became an NCAA champion, as UConn won its twelfth title in Tampa. In her final season she played alongside Paige Bueckers and Azzi Fudd, who were picked first overall in the 2025 and 2026 WNBA drafts respectively and both play for the Dallas Wings.
