Odesa apartment block hit for second time in 24 hours

Overnight into September 13, Russian forces struck a multi-storey residential building in Odesa for the second time within a 24-hour span. Serhii Lysak, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, confirmed the attack, saying the enemy had struck the city again and that the building had sustained damage. Residents were urged to remain in safe locations until the all-clear, as the threat was still ongoing.
Previous strike's toll
The latest attack follows a missile strike carried out by the Russian army around 5:30 a.m. on September 12. That strike damaged another residential high-rise in Odesa, injuring 26 people, including a five-month-old infant. During subsequent search-and-rescue operations in the rubble of that building, rescuers later found a body.
Post office also targeted
Separately, on the evening of September 12, Russian occupying forces struck a Nova Poshta postal branch in Odesa region with a jet-powered drone, injuring two civilians.
Together, the incidents mark a series of attacks on Odesa within a single day, affecting residential buildings and civilian infrastructure and resulting in casualties and damage.
