Car explodes on Odesa road, killing driver and injuring passenger
A moving car exploded in Odesa on 28 July, killing the driver and hospitalizing a female passenger. It was the second car explosion in the city within 24 hours.

Odesa police reported that on the evening of 28 July, a moving SUV exploded on Nebesnoi Sotni Avenue near the intersection with Yaroslav Mudryi Avenue. The driver was killed at the scene, while a female passenger was injured and taken to hospital.
Investigators, forensic experts, and bomb disposal units arrived at the scene. Police stated that the legal classification of the incident will be determined once all circumstances are clarified. Traffic on that section of the road is disrupted, and drivers are advised to plan their routes accordingly.
This was the second car explosion in Odesa within 24 hours. Earlier on the morning of 28 July, a car exploded in the courtyard of a residential building, injuring the driver. The Security Service of Ukraine classified that incident as a terrorist attack. Ukrainska Pravda sources in law enforcement said that car belonged to a Ukrainian service member.
