Fatal accident on Odesa highway: 15-year-old boy killed, truck driver detained
A teenager died and 12 people were hospitalized after a truck collided with a minibus on the Kyiv-Odesa highway. The driver of the MAN truck has been detained.
Police have detained the driver of a MAN truck who caused a fatal accident on the Kyiv-Odesa highway. The crash killed a 15-year-old boy.
According to the National Police, a 55-year-old driver of a Mercedes-Benz minibus had stopped on an uphill section due to a technical malfunction while heading toward Odesa. At that moment, a MAN truck driven by a 26-year-old man, traveling in the same direction, rear-ended the minibus. The impact caused the minibus to overturn.
The accident injured 12 passengers, seven of whom are minors. All injured were hospitalized. Earlier reports indicated 10 people were injured, but the number was later updated to 12 hospitalized.
