Ogre municipality sees twice as many deaths as births in a week
Between August 20 and 26, five newborns were registered in Ogre municipality while ten residents passed away, according to the local Civil Registry Office.

The Civil Registry Office of Ogre municipality has released its weekly data on births and deaths for the period from August 20 to 26. During this week, five newborns were registered in the municipality, while ten residents died, according to the published figures.
Newborns
Five children were born and registered during the week, given the names Artis, Teo, Ričards, Nolans Eliass and Rasa.
Deaths
Ten residents from various parts of the municipality passed away during the same period. In Birzgale, Ivans Podtinnijs (born 1949) died; in Ciemupe, Ligita Razgale (1948); in Ikšķile, Lidija Čakste (1937); in Laubere, Dainis Putniņš (1954); and in Lēdmane, Biruta Līdere (1956). In Madliena, two residents died — Edvīns Dzenis (1949) and Nikolajs Rimša (1953). In Ogre, Vilnis Beitiks (1938) passed away, in Rembate, Jānis Stikāns (1948), and in Suntaži, Rota Vairoga (1934).
The figures show that during this particular week, the number of deaths in the municipality was twice the number of births.
