Ogre municipality police report theft, axe attack and sauna fire
Police in the Ogre municipality have logged several recent incidents, ranging from a shop theft to a sauna fire in Tome parish.
Police in the Ogre municipality have had no shortage of work recently, with several separate incidents and possible crimes reported.
Shop theft
Authorities received a report that on July 12, groceries worth more than 58 euros were stolen from a shop on Rīgas Street in Ogre.
Axe attack on phone and bank card
On August 20, on Zilokalnu Avenue in Ogre, a woman reported that her partner had smashed her phone and bank card with an axe during a domestic dispute.
Possible firewood theft
On August 21, Ogre municipal police informed the State Police that firewood may have gone missing from a property in Suntaži parish. The circumstances are being investigated.
Sauna catches fire
On August 22, a single-story sauna building caught fire in Tome parish, located only about 20 meters from a residential house. Criminal proceedings have been launched to determine the cause and circumstances of the fire.
