25 home cafés to open across Ogre municipality this autumn
Residents of Ogre municipality will open 25 home cafés this autumn, offering a variety of seasonal dishes. The cafés will be spread across several towns and villages in the region.

This autumn, Ogre municipality will host its traditional Home Café Days, during which local residents open their yards, gardens and creative spaces to visitors. A total of 25 home cafés will operate across the region, each preparing its own autumn-themed menu.
A wide range of dishes
Hosts will serve family recipes and traditional Latvian dishes alongside more modern creations inspired by other national cuisines. Visitors can expect soups cooked over open wood fires, hearty stews, pilaf, meat dishes and shashlik, as well as cream soups, pancakes and bubble waffles. Pizzas, burgers, vegetarian options and sweet treats reminiscent of childhood flavors will also be available. Some cafés have prepared special children's menus for younger guests.
Locations across the municipality
This year's home cafés will welcome guests in Tīnūži, Ogresgals, Tome, Taurupe, Madliena, Meņģele, Ķeipene, Ikšķile and Ogre, giving visitors the chance to tour much of the municipality and sample offerings from hosts in different areas.
