Latvian-Baltic hockey league: busy Saturday with games in Daugavpils and elsewhere
The Latvian-Baltic Hockey League (OHL) sees a packed Saturday schedule, with games broadcast live from Daugavpils as Prizma seeks to end a losing streak against Kyiv's Capitals.

Saturday brings a marathon of games in the Latvian-Baltic Hockey League (OHL), with four matchups scheduled across several cities.
The day opens at 1 p.m. in Daugavpils, where Prizma will face Kyiv Capitals at the Volvo ice arena, broadcast live on TV4 and Sportacentrs.com. The two teams last met in late September, when Capitals won 6:3. Coach Eriks Miluns' Prizma has struggled recently, losing also to Lithuanian clubs Vilnius Hockey Punks and Elektrenai Energija. Capitals arrive in strong form, having won their last three games, including a dominant victory over Hockey Punks and a road win against the Liepaja club.
At the same time, in a different Daugavpils arena, Riga Hockey School/Dinaburga will host Zemgale/LBTU, streamed on Sportacentrs.com. The Jelgava-based club beat this opponent 7:0 in late September and remains unbeaten through three games this season. Riga HS/Dinaburga has also won twice this season, defeating Hockey Punks and edging Tallinn's Panter in overtime.
At 4:30 p.m. in Vilnius, Hockey Punks will take on league leaders Mogo/RSU. Coach Girts Ankipans' Mogo has not finished a game without points this season, except for one shootout loss. Hockey Punks already earned a point against Zemgale/LBTU, losing only in overtime.
Finally, at 6 p.m. in Tallinn, Panter will host Liepaja HK. The Estonian club hopes for a second straight win, while Liepaja aims to break a three-game losing streak against the league's top teams.
