Large-scale blackout reported in occupied Crimea
A widespread power outage was reported across several cities in occupied Crimea overnight into August 20. The exact cause of the blackout remains unknown.

Overnight into August 20, a large-scale blackout struck the temporarily occupied Crimean peninsula, according to the monitoring channel "Krymsky Veter." Monitoring data indicated a complete power outage in Simferopol, Sevastopol, Kerch, Feodosia and Yalta.
Reports of drones and explosions
Local residents said that shortly before the power went out in Feodosia, three drones were heard flying overhead, along with chaotic gunfire from mobile air-defense units and three explosions near the "Kafa" electrical substation. In addition, a jet-powered drone was spotted over the Leninsky district heading toward Kerch.
Following these reports, news emerged of a complete power outage across the entire peninsula. The exact cause of the large-scale blackout is currently unknown.
