Rescuers free person after minibus and car collision in Olaine municipality
On Saturday, a collision between a minibus and a car occurred in Olaine municipality, requiring firefighters to free one person from the vehicle.

On Saturday morning, the State Fire and Rescue Service (VUGD) received an emergency call to Olaine parish in Olaine municipality, where a minibus and a passenger car had collided. Upon arrival, rescuers found that one person was trapped inside a vehicle and unable to exit on their own. Other involved individuals had managed to get out without assistance.
Firefighters used specialized equipment to free the trapped person. After the extraction, the battery terminals of both vehicles were disconnected to prevent potential fires, and the roadway was cleared. The rescue operation concluded shortly before 12:00 PM.
According to State Police data, 115 road traffic accidents were registered in Latvia over the past 24 hours, resulting in 19 injured individuals. In Vidzeme, one accident occurred with two casualties, while in the Riga region, 11 accidents injured 17 people. Among the injured were two cyclists and one electric scooter driver. In the area of administrative violations, 476 decisions were made, including 252 for speeding and one for aggressive driving.
