Olympic champion and 3x3 basketball legend Agnis Čavars now coaches in Hong Kong

Latvian 3x3 basketball legend Agnis Čavars, who became the discipline's first Olympic champion at the 2020 Tokyo Games, appeared on the "D sektors" show to discuss his life and work in Hong Kong.

Agnis Čavars, who made history as the first Olympic champion in 3x3 basketball after winning at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, recently appeared as a guest on Delfi TV's show "D sektors." In conversation with journalists Almants Poikāns and Jānis Bendziks, the athlete spoke about both basketball and his life far from Latvia.

Čavars was also part of Latvia's 3x3 national team as a reserve player at the Paris Olympics, where the team finished fourth. After a standout playing career, he has for some time now been living in Hong Kong, where he works as a coach, training local athletes in 3x3 basketball.
