Ostapenko broke Ruzic's serve early in the first set, racing to a 2-0 lead, and extended it to 4-0 before closing out 6-2. The second set was even more one-sided. While Ostapenko's first-serve percentage was lower (55% to 71%), she won 81% of points on her first serve (Ruzic 30%) and 48% on second serve (36%). Ostapenko hit 34 winners, Ruzic just 4, and made 10 unforced errors compared to Ruzic's mere 1. Ostapenko converted 6 of 8 break points; Ruzic managed only 1 of 6. Total points: 57-28.
