Ostapenko aims to reach Wimbledon third round

Alona Ostapenko, currently ranked 31st in the WTA, will play against Croatia's third-best tennis player Antonia Ruzic (ranked 61st) in the second round of the Wimbledon Championships. In the first round, Ostapenko defeated British player Harriet Dart (152nd) 6:3, 3:6, 6:4, while Ruzic beat Latvia's second-ranked player Darja Semenistaja (104th) 6:3, 3:6, 6:3. Career records on grass: Ostapenko 58-27, Ruzic 10-8 (the Croatian has better results on other surfaces). On grass, Ruzic has only once beaten a top-100 player (ranked 59th).
