Ostapenko rises to 35th in WTA rankings, Semenistaja stays 102nd.
Aļona Ostapenko moved up one spot to 35th in the latest WTA rankings, while Darja Semenistaja remains 102nd.

The latest WTA singles rankings see Latvia's top tennis player Aļona Ostapenko climb one position to 35th with 1404 points. Meanwhile, Darja Semenistaja, Latvia's second-ranked player, stays at 102nd with 755 points, her gap to the top 100 increasing to 29 points.
Last week featured two WTA 500 grass-court tournaments. In Berlin, Czech player Linda Noskova defeated American Jessica Pegula in the final, moving up to 10th in the rankings. Latvia's fourth-ranked player, Beatrise Zeltiņa, reached the final of a W35 tournament in Sicily; the points she earned will be added after Wimbledon. Zeltiņa has reached a career-high ranking of 516th. Other Latvian players: Anastasija Sevastova is ranked 285th.
This week, Darja Semenistaja will compete in Wimbledon qualifying, while Aļona Ostapenko plays her first-round match at the WTA 250 event in Eastbourne after 4:00 PM.
