Ostapenko and Semenistaja Rise in WTA Rankings, Zeltina Reaches Career High

Alona Ostapenko moved from 31st to 29th, Darja Semenistaja from 109th to 106th, and Beatrise Zeltina achieved a career-best 423rd in the WTA singles rankings.

The Women's Tennis Association (WTA) has released the updated world rankings. Latvia's top player Alona Ostapenko climbed two spots to 29th place with 1,592 points. Meanwhile, the country's second-ranked player Darja Semenistaja improved from 109th to 106th (714 points).

Beatrise Zeltina, Latvia's fourth-ranked player, reached a new career high of 423rd (147 points). Last week, she became the doubles runner-up at a W75 tournament and advanced to the singles quarterfinals.

In the coming days, Darja Semenistaja will compete in the first round of the "WTA 125" clay-court tournament in Romania, facing 20-year-old Serbian player Mia Ristic (WTA 261).

Anastasija Sevastova holds the 297th position in the rankings with 235 points.
