Tuesday to bring mixed weather in Latvia — rain in the southeast, sun in the west
Latvia will see mostly cloudy weather on Tuesday, with sunny spells in the west and center while the southeast faces rain; temperatures will reach up to +20 degrees.
Cloudy conditions will dominate most of Latvia on Tuesday, though western and central areas will see occasional sunshine, according to a forecast from the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
Rain in the southeast
A band of precipitation will reach the southeastern part of the country during the morning hours, bringing prolonged rain that could be heavy in places. From midday onward, clouds will also build up elsewhere in the country, producing brief rain showers and, in some areas, thunderstorms.
Wind and temperature
Winds will remain light throughout the day. The maximum air temperature is expected to range between +15 and +20 degrees Celsius.
Weather in Riga
The capital will start the day cloudy, but the clouds are expected to clear in the afternoon. Wind will stay light, and the air will warm to between +17 and +18 degrees.
