Emergency response to Russian attack on Chernihiv completed: two dead, 25 injured
Two people, including a 9-year-old girl, were killed and 25 others injured in a Russian drone attack on Chernihiv. Rescue operations have concluded, and all fires are extinguished.
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine announced that the emergency response to the latest Russian attack on Chernihiv has been completed. The attack, which struck on the afternoon of July 26, targeted an ATB supermarket. Two people were killed, including a 9-year-old girl, and the number of injured has risen to 25.
According to police findings, the Russian jet-powered Geran-4 drone used in the attack was equipped with a video camera. All fires resulting from the strike have been extinguished, and cleanup operations in the city are finished.
Earlier reports indicated two fatalities and 20 injured, but the injured count was later updated to 25. The State Emergency Service confirmed the final figures, noting that the response work is complete.
