Palkova earned €26,000 as Ombudsman last year; main income came from RSU
Ombudsman Sanija Palkova earned €26,000 from her position last year, but her largest income was €74,880 from Rīga Stradiņš University. She also declared income from forest sales, her company, and benefits.

Last year, Ombudsman Sanija Palkova earned €26,000 from her official duties, according to her income declaration. However, the bulk of her income came from Rīga Stradiņš University, where she received a salary of €74,880 and additional payments of €626.
In addition, Palkova earned €10,201 from selling forest, and €675 as a salary from her company SIA "KP Consulting & Law", where she served as board chair until September 25 of last year. The State Social Insurance Agency paid her €1,200 in benefits, and Swedbank paid €457 in interest. She also received €200 from the University of Latvia and €200 from the official publication "Latvijas Vēstnesis".
The declaration also includes €88 from the Children's Clinical University Hospital and €53 from AS "RPH marketing Latvia". Palkova owns land in Ņukšu parish and property in Indras parish, and had €28,751 in cashless savings at the end of the year.
The Saeima appointed Palkova as Ombudsman on September 18, 2024, after the previous Ombudsman Juris Jansons resigned in June 2025.
