Latvia's Ministry of Transport has submitted an informative report for interagency approval on the Legal Acts Portal, outlining the estimated cost of preparing a conservation project for part of the Rail Baltica railway bridge.
The report concerns the bridge span crossing Lastādijas Street and Ģenerāļa Radziņa embankment, whose supporting pier stands in the Daugava River. According to the ministry's estimate, developing a conservation (mothballing) project for this structure would cost €81,414, including value-added tax.
The report is currently going through the approval process, marking an initial procedural step toward any future decision on funding or proceeding with the conservation of the bridge span and its river pier.
