Estonian top-division football club Narva Trans has announced that 52-year-old Spanish specialist David Campaña will take over as the team's new head coach.

The club highlighted Campaña's rich international coaching career. He has previously managed clubs in Spain (including a stint within Sevilla's system), Lithuania (Utenis), Armenia (Lori and Ararat-Armenia), Ghana, China, and Gibraltar (Lincoln Red Imps). Most recently, he coached Torre del Mar, a club in Spain's fifth division, last season.

Joining Campaña in the coaching staff is English assistant coach Noel Patrick Parsons.

"My first impressions of Estonia and Narva are extremely positive. Estonia is a beautiful country, and Narva is a calm and welcoming city. The club has created good working conditions, there is a real football atmosphere, and the club's greatest wealth is the people who work here," Campaña said in an interview on the club's official website.

"I have already learned that Narva Trans is a club that strives to develop, pays great attention to its academy, and remains loyal to its fans. As for the Premium Liiga, the championship has taken a serious step forward in recent years and continues to develop," the Spanish coach added.

Campaña stated that he has been following the team's performances for a long time and is confident they can achieve more. "My current task is to help the players unlock their potential, fix the details that are preventing results, and return the team to the positions it deserves. I don't like talking about big goals or loud promises. Success is built on daily work, small victories, and a constant drive to improve. We must objectively evaluate our game, accept criticism, and use it to make Narva Trans stronger," he emphasized.

In early June, the club parted ways with former head coach Roman Kozhukhovsky. The team was then temporarily led by Iri and Denis Polyakov.

Currently, Trans sits at the bottom of the league table with 10 points, trailing ninth-placed Kuressaare by seven points.
