Despite Fire, 'Tavi Draugi' Continues Work in Temporary Tents

The NGO 'Tavi Draugi,' which provides support to Ukrainian refugees and soldiers for over two years, has resumed operations after an intentionally set fire severely damaged a significant portion of its aid supplies. Despite the setback, the organization quickly adapted to continue its mission.

The fire destroyed a large amount of humanitarian aid, including food, clothing, and medical supplies meant for Ukraine. The incident sparked widespread public response—several entrepreneurs and municipal officials promptly offered alternative premises to help the NGO resume full-scale work.

Currently, while evaluating the various offers, volunteers—including those weaving trench nets and other helpers—are working in temporary tents. This solution allows them to continue providing aid, albeit under more challenging conditions. The NGO expressed gratitude to everyone who has shown support and offered assistance in resolving the space issue.
