The Riga City Council has announced that from July 27 until early August, temporary parking bans will be in effect on several streets in the Āgenskalns, Daugavgrīva, and Ziepniekkalns neighborhoods to facilitate road maintenance work.

The restrictions will apply on working days from 9:00 to 17:00. During this time, planned activities include anti-dust treatment and grading of the roads.

The first restrictions take effect on July 27 on Lēpju Street (both sides, from building 13 to Plēksnes Street), as well as on the gravel sections of Svētes Street and Bērzupes Street (both sides). From August 3, the ban will apply to Eduarda Smiļģa Street (both sides, from Bāriņu Street to Slokas Street).

The city council noted that due to technical reasons, changes may occur during the work process, such as date shifts or adjustments to the affected street sections. Informational posters will be placed before work begins. The work is planned to be carried out as quickly as possible to minimize inconvenience to residents.
