Paris-based Mio Raises €1.9M to Build an AI Colleague Integrated into Slack
French startup Mio has secured €1.9 million in pre-seed funding to develop an AI assistant that lives inside Slack and automates work tasks.

Mio, founded in 2025 by repeat entrepreneur Arthaud Mesnard, today emerged from stealth with a €1.9 million pre-Seed round. The investment was co-led by Fabric.vc and Topology.vc. Proceeds will be used to expand the engineering team, accelerate product development, and grow the customer base in Europe and the US.
Unlike standalone AI chatbots, Mio integrates directly into Slack and other workplace tools. It learns company-specific context from messages, documents, and calendars, and can execute tasks across connected applications. The company notes that Mio is model-agnostic, combining the best AI models for each task without locking users into a single provider.
Mio emphasizes data privacy: it only reads channels it is invited to, and optional integrations (Google Workspace, Notion, Linear, etc.) are activated only when users choose to connect them. The startup asserts it does not train AI models on customer data and is GDPR compliant. Data is encrypted and hosted on Google Cloud Platform in Europe.
Over 100 companies, from early startups to Series B scale-ups, already use Mio daily. Early-access customers report saving an average of 8.2 hours per week through automated workflows such as morning briefs, meeting recaps, CRM updates, and customer follow-ups.
