Gallium Defence, a Paris-based startup working on drone detection, has emerged from stealth and announced a €7.1 million Seed funding round. The company says it offers detection at a fraction of the cost of legacy systems, which is the central pitch of its offering in the defence market.
The round was led by the venture funds Keen Venture Partners and 360 Capital. Omnes Capital, an investment firm, and Polytechnique Ventures also took part.
The announcement was made at the same time as European Defence Week. The available information about the company's technology, customers and future plans is limited, so further details on how the product works or how it will be commercialised have not yet been disclosed.
