World Cup 2026: Iran hold 10-man Belgium to goalless draw in Los Angeles
Belgium drew for the second time in Group G, this time against Iran, and now must beat New Zealand to advance to the knockout stage.

Belgium were held to a goalless draw by Iran in their World Cup 2026 Group G match in Los Angeles on Sunday. The 2018 third-place finishers have only two points from two games in North America and need a win against New Zealand in their final group match next Friday to secure a spot in the last 32. The match turned frustrating for Belgium in the second half when defender Nathan Ngoy was shown a red card for a last-man foul.
