Governments, officials, and royals from across Europe have joined in the celebrations, sending messages of congratulations. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen wrote on X that "today, we join our American friends in celebrating 250 years of independence." Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called the day "one of humanity's brightest, strongest, and most influential dreams – the American Dream of an independent, free, and prosperous nation." He emphasized that America's influence remains strong in the 21st century, and that Ukraine sees this clearly as it fights for its own independence with the same hope and determination.

The British Royal Family shared footage of King Charles III's April visit to the US, which was arranged to mark the anniversary. Polish President Karol Nawrocki called the anniversary a milestone for a nation that left an indelible mark on the struggle for freedom and democracy. He noted that Poland and the US have been united by ideals of freedom since the 18th century, citing figures like Pułaski and Kościuszko, and described the alliance as a pillar of security for Europe and NATO.

France lit the Eiffel Tower in US colors, with the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs calling it a reminder of the friendship dating back to the 18th century. German Chancellor Friedrich Merz wrote on X that the US was founded on freedom, democracy, and responsibility 250 years ago, and that the transatlantic partnership remains indispensable, especially in challenging times.

Icelandic Prime Minister Kristrún Frostadóttir sent "heartfelt congratulations" to the US, expressing gratitude for US support in 1944 when America was the first country to recognize Iceland's republic.
