Municipality Seeks Public Input on Placement of Dog Waste Bins
A local municipality has launched a survey asking residents to suggest the best locations for new dog waste bins around the city. Twenty new bins are planned for installation this year.
A municipality is inviting residents to share their opinions on where specialized dog waste disposal bins should be placed throughout the city. The initiative aims to create a cleaner, tidier and more comfortable public environment for everyone.
Any city resident who cares about a clean public space is welcome to take part, but dog owners in particular are encouraged to respond, since they are most familiar with daily walking routes and the areas where such infrastructure is most needed.
How the survey works
From a single device, each participant can mark up to 20 preferred locations for new bins. Residents can also vote for locations that have already been suggested by others, helping to highlight the most requested spots across the city.
Next steps
The municipality plans to install 20 new bins this year. Once the survey closes, officials will review the suggested locations, assess actual infrastructure needs, and evaluate the feasibility of placing bins at specific sites. Locations that cannot be addressed this year will be considered for next year's installation plan.
The survey can be completed until October 5, 2026, inclusive.
