The Russian-language service of Latvian public media (LSM) has turned its culture coverage to two films linked by a common theme of power: "Prime Time" and "Digger". Both feature well-known actors in lead roles, and both deal with ratings, exploitation and the drive for power.
"Prime Time"
This is the debut narrative feature of American director Lance Oppenheim. Robert Pattinson plays the lead. The film is built around themes of ratings, exploitation and power.
"Digger"
Mexican director Alejandro González Iñárritu made this satire. In it, Tom Cruise takes on the role of a wealthy villain. Power and exploitation are central here as well.
