Pāvilosta to Celebrate Latgalian Day with Performance on Grīņu Latgalian Heritage
On Saturday, July 25, Pāvilosta will host Latgalian Day, featuring a performance by Baltinava amateur theater about the migration of Latgalian families to Kurzeme in the 1930s. This marks the second visit by this troupe to Pāvilosta.

This Saturday, July 25, the event in Pāvilosta is dedicated to the cultural heritage of the Grīņu Latgalians. The program includes a performance by the Baltinava amateur theater. This is the second time this theater troupe has visited Pāvilosta. Eight years ago, in collaboration with Pāvilosta Theater, they staged a play about Latgalian families moving to Kurzeme, in the Grīņi region, during the 1930s. The play also depicted the dramatic events of World War II and post-war daily life.
