Latgalian Day in Pāvilosta to Feature Baltinava Theater Performance
On July 25, Pāvilosta will celebrate Latgalian Day, honoring the Grīņi Latgalian heritage with a performance by the Baltinava amateur theater.

On Saturday, July 25, Pāvilosta will host the Latgalian Day celebration. The main event will be a performance by the Baltinava amateur theater, dedicated to the Grīņi Latgalian heritage. This will be the second time the Baltinava group visits Pāvilosta.
Eight years ago, the Baltinava theater, together with the Pāvilosta theater, staged a production about Latgalian families settling in Kurzeme, in the Grīņi region, during the 1930s. The play also depicted the dramatic events of World War II and post-war life.
The Latgalian Day in Pāvilosta is an important occasion that honors the history and culture of this community, while strengthening ties between Latgale and Kurzeme.
