Participants approach the coast as a shared theme, examining it as a landscape, as an everyday living space, and as a place that carries cultural memory. This approach unites creative people from different fields, allowing the coastal theme to be explored from several angles — literature, visual art, theatre, music and film.
The event takes place a week before Latvia's Poetry Days, and its organisers describe it as a fitting lead-in to that annual celebration of poetry.
