Relatives have posted an appeal for help on social media after Lauris Mihailovs, a man from Cēsis, went missing. According to a relative named Sarmīte, her nephew traveled to Hungary, and the family has had no contact with him since Saturday.
The family is asking anyone with information about Lauris's whereabouts or recent movements to get in touch. They have also asked people to share the appeal widely, hoping this will help locate him.
A report on Lauris's disappearance has already been filed with police.
Who is Lauris Mihailovs
Lauris Mihailovs is one half of the musical comedy duo “Transleiteris,” which has been active since around 2008. The other member of the duo is Edžus Ķaukulis. “Transleiteris” became well known in Latvia for its distinctive format — extremely literal, humorous Latvian translations of popular foreign songs, along with parodies that have gained wide popularity over the years.
It is currently unknown why contact with Lauris was lost or where he might be. The family continues to wait for news and hopes for a swift resolution.
