About 2,000 complaints filed with CSDD after data leak

Latvia's Road Traffic Safety Directorate (CSDD) has received approximately 2,000 submissions connected to its recent data leak incident, including numerous compensation claims from affected residents.

Ready-made complaint templates have also begun circulating on social media, allowing people to more easily file requests with the directorate.

Directorate urges patience

CSDD is asking people not to rush with compensation claims and instead wait for the outcome of the review being carried out by the Data State Inspectorate into the leak.

Few opt to change license plates

Following the incident, affected individuals also have the option to take steps such as changing their vehicle's license plates. So far, however, relatively few people have made use of this option.
