Fire Rages at Yandex Data Centre in Ryazan Region After Ukrainian Drone Attack
A data centre run by Russian technology company Yandex caught fire in the Ryazan region after what the company called a Ukrainian drone attack. The facility has been taken offline, and some services may be unavailable.

A data centre operated by Russian technology giant Yandex has caught fire in the Ryazan region. The company attributes the blaze to a Ukrainian drone attack.
Services may be disrupted
Following the strike, the facility was taken offline. Yandex has warned that some of its services could be unavailable to users as a result. The company has not specified which services may be affected.
Footage from the scene
Video of the incident shows flames and heavy smoke rising from the data centre in the town of Sasovo. At the time of publication, the fire was still burning.
Refinery claim unverified
Ukraine also said it had struck a major oil refinery in Russia. That claim could not be independently verified and remains unconfirmed.
A widening range of targets
Recent targets of Ukrainian strikes have been wide-ranging. They have included energy systems and key industries, as well as railways, post offices and shopping centres. Telecom networks, gas stations and grain exports have also been hit.
The attack on the data centre adds digital infrastructure to that list. No further details about the damage or the efforts to put out the fire were available when the report was published.
