The Omsk oil refinery in Russia has halted operations following a Ukrainian drone strike that took place more than 2,500 kilometers from the Ukrainian border, making it one of the deepest Ukrainian attacks inside Russian territory.

Russian officials confirmed that equipment at the refinery was damaged in the attack. No casualties were reported. Damage assessment and restoration work are currently underway.

According to sources cited by Reuters, the attack damaged the CDU-10 primary crude oil processing unit, which accounts for approximately 38% of the refinery's capacity. Another unit, CDU-11, was also shut down due to damaged network connections, though it was not directly hit.

Since Tuesday, the refinery has stopped selling gasoline and diesel on the St. Petersburg International Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange. The facility has two preserved primary processing units that could theoretically be restarted.
