Train service to resume on schedule Monday for most lines after storm damage repairs
From August 24, train services on the Tukums, Jelgava, Aizkraute, Sigulda, Daugavpils, Rēzekne and Liepāja lines are expected to run on their regular schedule, while the Skulte line will still only operate as far as Saulkrasti.

Latvian rail operator "Vivi" has announced that from Monday, August 24, train services on most of the country's rail lines will return to their regular timetable following disruptions caused by a recent storm.
Normal schedules are expected to resume on the Tukums, Jelgava, Aizkraukle, Sigulda, Daugavpils, Rēzekne and Liepāja lines, all of which had experienced disruptions after the storm damaged railway infrastructure.
Skulte line still limited
The Skulte line has not yet fully recovered, however. On Monday, trains on this route will run only as far as Saulkrasti rather than to the line's final destination.
Repairs ongoing
"Vivi" noted that repair work to fix the storm-related damage to rail infrastructure is still underway. As a result, even though most lines are returning to their normal schedules, some individual services may still experience delays until the repair work is fully completed.
