Three days after last weekend's destructive storm, technicians from grid operator "Sadales tīkls" continue working intensively to restore power supply to remaining affected customers. As of 6:00 a.m. on August 26, electricity had been restored to approximately 266,000 customers, roughly 96% of all those who lost power due to the storm.

Work still remains

Despite the substantial progress made, around 11,000 customers still remain without electricity. In total, the storm caused 1,256 faults in the distribution grid, most of which have already been repaired.

Crews working after dark

According to Sadales tīkls, repair work is continuing without pause. Where technically feasible, crews kept working even after nightfall in order to restore electricity to the remaining customers as quickly as possible. The company continues to inspect and repair storm damage across the affected distribution network.
