New spa hotel opens on the shores of Lake Peipus
A €36 million spa hotel has opened in Uusküla village, Alutaguse parish. The complex features nearly 100 rooms, a restaurant, spa with pools, and conference halls, and can employ up to 100 people.
A new tourism complex — a spa hotel — has opened on the shores of Lake Peipus in northeastern Estonia. The €36 million project is one of the largest investment projects in Ida-Virumaa in recent years. The hotel is built in Uusküla village on the site of a former holiday base. The complex includes nearly 100 rooms, a restaurant, a spa center with pools, and conference halls. At high demand, it could provide jobs for up to 100 people. The hotel expects to welcome guests year-round. Alutaguse Parish Elder Tauno Võhmar believes the new spa complex will help develop local entrepreneurship and tourism. "I think our local small businesses can become very good partners for the spa complex. These include catering companies, food producers, and others whose goods and services are needed by the spa," he said. "Moreover, I believe that the spa complex alone cannot offer visitors everything interesting. So it's important to create a good cooperation network with existing tourism service providers in our region," Võhmar added.
