According to the author, Montenegro is one of those rare countries that looks even more impressive in reality than in photos. Although initially skeptical, her trip proved otherwise. A striking example is Perast – a small Baroque town listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. It stretches along about one and a half kilometers of coastline, offering narrow streets, stone houses, church towers, and old palaces. The water in the bay is a blue-green hue, and the air is filled with the scent of blooming plants.

Perast does not offer many activities – the main attraction is the town itself. One can wander the streets, enjoy coffee on the promenade, watch the sunset, or visit the two famous islets – Sveti Dorde and Our Lady of the Rocks. A boat ride to the islets takes only a few minutes and costs about five euros per person. The small port has plenty of boat offerings.

The author admits that initially Montenegro reminded her of Durmitor National Park, more like Zakopane. But upon reaching the coast, she realized this was the real Montenegro. She describes Perast as a place that looks like a postcard and recommends it to anyone seeking beautiful landscapes and a relaxing atmosphere.
