Harju County Court is set to review the possibility of parole for 38-year-old Egert Dulints, who was sentenced to 13 years in prison in 2018 for the brutal murder of his wife. The hearing on the parole request will take place on August 13, the court confirmed to Rus.ERR.

According to the investigation, between September 18 and 22, 2017, at a home in Saarde Parish, Dulints stabbed his wife 29 times in the face, neck, and left shoulder, and inflicted other bodily injuries. The woman died at the scene due to acute massive blood loss caused by stab wounds to the face, neck, and shoulder, as well as partial damage to the left jugular vein and a spinal injury.

The accused turned himself in to the police only five days after the crime and pleaded guilty in court. The victim's body was found in the couple's shared bed.

Dulints was also found guilty of attempted sexual assault against the victim, who at the time was a minor. The crime was not completed and remained at the stage of an attempt.
