Petlibro launches AI feeder lineup built for multi-cat households

Petlibro has expanded its Granary product line with a new generation of automatic dry food feeders. The Granary 2 series consists of four models aimed at giving pet owners a clearer picture of how much and how long their animals actually eat.

The entry-level Granary 2 offers app-controlled feeding, precise portioning, and intake tracking. The Granary 2 Vision, priced at $189.99, adds an AI-powered camera capable of recognizing up to 10 cats and tracking each animal's individual eating habits. The Vision Duo, at $199.99, is designed for multi-pet homes with two separate dispensing chutes and bowls, while the top-tier Granary 2 X, at $249.99, uses AI recognition to provide individualized portioning for pets with specific dietary needs.

Built-in scale and behavior tracking

The main upgrade across the series is a built-in scale that measures not only how much food is dispensed but also how much remains in the bowl, giving a more accurate estimate of actual intake. The feeder also tracks eating duration, frequency, and speed, with the companion app building daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly views that could help spot subtle changes in appetite or routine.

The feeder offers two feeding modes: a continuous supply of small portions up to a daily limit, or a scheduled mode with fixed times and portion sizes. In the tested Vision model, the built-in camera automatically links each meal to the correct pet's profile, opening the feeder only when the recognized animal approaches. The camera records in 1080p with night vision and two-way audio, and can play a recorded message to call a pet to dinner.

The device also sends alerts for low battery, low food levels, or jams, and includes a rechargeable backup battery for power outages. Some advanced features, including health monitoring and cloud video recording, require paid subscriptions starting at $59.99 per year.
