A small aircraft came down in the Gulf of Riga on Saturday afternoon, several hundred metres off the coast near Jūrmala, according to the State Fire and Rescue Service (VUGD).

Rescuers pulled one person out of the water who had been in the aircraft at the time of the incident. Further details about the circumstances of the crash and the condition of the rescued person have not yet been released.
