Holocaust Memorial Unveiled Near Liepāja Lighthouse
On Friday evening, a Holocaust memorial was unveiled near the Liepāja lighthouse, dedicated to the Jews of Liepāja killed in the area in 1941–1942.
On Friday evening, a ceremony was held in Liepāja, near the coast, to unveil the Holocaust Memorial at the Liepāja lighthouse. Representatives of Jewish communities from various countries attended the event. The memorial was placed at the site of a previous commemorative marker. It is dedicated to the Jews of Liepāja who were killed in the vicinity of the lighthouse and within the fish port area in 1941 and 1942.
