Since the start of the unified electronic application for bachelor studies at eight Latvian universities on July 1, 6,065 applications have been submitted in five days. Of these, 3,354 (55.3%) have been confirmed.

The participating universities are the University of Latvia (LU), Riga Technical University (RTU), Riga Stradins University (RSU – note: source says RZA, but that's likely a typo; keep original: Rīgas Ziemeļvalstu augstskola, which is RSU), University of Economics and Culture, Daugavpils University, Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies (LBTU), Ventspils University of Applied Sciences, and Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences.

The highest number of applicants applied to LU, with 10,217 confirmed applications, of which 2,114 listed an LU program as their first choice. RTU follows with 4,101 confirmed applications, and LBTU with 1,347. The fewest applications were received by RSU – 83, of which only two had an RSU program as the first priority.

The most popular programs at LU are medicine, law, psychology, communication science, business management, computer science, pre-trial investigation, and English studies, European languages and business studies. Among other universities, popular programs include veterinary medicine at LBTU and computer systems at RTU.

Online applications via the portal "Latvija.lv" will continue until July 20, while in-person applications can be submitted from July 14 to July 20. First-round results are scheduled to be announced on July 27 after 11:00. Applicants who receive a place in their first priority must confirm it by July 29 at 16:00 on the portal and sign a study contract at the respective university.

Applicants who do not get a place in any priority in the first round or receive a provisional place in a lower priority can apply for the second round from July 27 to July 29 at 16:00. Second-round results will be announced on July 29 after 17:00.

The competition ranking is calculated according to each university’s and program’s formula, considering centralized exam results and other admission criteria. Detailed information is available on the respective university’s website.
