Rain is expected in Latvia on Friday, spreading from the west and south of the country, according to weather forecasters. Conditions will be damp and overcast nationwide, with prolonged precipitation in some areas.

Night and morning

During the night there will be a little brief rain in places. More precipitation is forecast for the morning in southern Kurzeme, a region in western Latvia. Light to moderate easterly and southeasterly winds will blow. Air temperature will fall to +7 to +12°C, and in some places in the east of the country it will be about one degree lower.

Daytime

The day will be mostly cloudy with rain, which in some places will be prolonged. Forecasters also mention haze, and fog will form in a few locations. Winds will be light to moderate southeasterly, turning westerly in Kurzeme. The maximum temperature will range from +10 to +13°C.

In Riga

In the capital, there will be no rain at night or in the morning. The day is expected to be cloudy and rainy, with possible haze. Light to moderate southeasterly winds will shift to southwesterly in the evening. Air temperature, both at night and during the day, will be +10 to +12°C.
