Rain and stronger winds expected in Latvia on Friday
Latvia will see brief rain showers on Friday, mostly in Kurzeme and northwestern Vidzeme, while wind gusts could reach up to 18 meters per second.
Meteorologists forecast brief rain in parts of Latvia over the next 24 hours, with the heaviest precipitation expected in the Kurzeme region and the northwestern part of Vidzeme.
Clouds and temperature
Cloud cover will gradually increase throughout the day, making Friday a mostly overcast day. Overnight air temperatures will range between +7 and +12 degrees Celsius, reaching up to +15 degrees along the coast. Daytime temperatures will warm to between +15 and +19 degrees.
Stronger winds
Southern and southwestern winds are expected to strengthen, with gusts reaching 9-14 meters per second. Along the coast, gusts could reach as high as 18 meters per second.
Conditions in Riga
In the capital, cloud cover will increase on Friday, with brief rain possible mainly in the evening. Southern and southwestern winds in Riga could gust up to 13 meters per second during the day. Temperatures will hold around +11 degrees overnight and warm to +18 degrees in the afternoon.
